Biography
I am a solicitor in the London family team and have experience acting for clients on matters involving divorce, financial disputes and drafting pre-nuptial or cohabitation agreements. I also regularly assist with children matters, including child arrangement, and relocation claims.
I have experience in advising and dealing with cases that have an international element, and I am continuing to build my international network of professionals across the world.
I am an active member of various Teams of Excellence within the family team, including the Surrogacy, Trusts of Land/Cohabitation and International Teams of Excellence. I am a member of AIJA, The International Association of Young Lawyers as well as Resolution.
Having completed my training contract with Irwin Mitchell, I qualified as a solicitor in September 2022. Prior to this, I obtained my undergraduate degree in Philosophy from the University of Leeds, later completing the Graduates Diploma in Law at BPP Law School. I later completed the Legal Practice Course at The University of Law finishing with a distinction.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
There is a real community feel at Irwin Mitchell. I first joined the firm as a paralegal in the family team, later completing my training contact and qualifying as a solicitor. At all stages of my career, I have felt supported and constantly encouraged to develop my skills and interests in everything that I do.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Providing clients with advice and support through what is often some of the most difficult times in their lives, whilst helping to prepare and set them up for a new life, with confidence and awareness of their rights and protections.
What inspired you to get into law?
I have always enjoyed helping people resolve any problems they might face in their personal circumstances. Having the ability to provide solutions and some clarity for people in difficult situations in their life, is both motivating and rewarding.
What do you do away from the office?
I am keen traveller, often hiking and enjoying the outdoors. In the spring and summer months you will often find me on a camping trip or exploring new wild swimming spots across the UK or Europe.
