Biography
I am a Senior Financial Services Coordinator within IM Asset Management. I provide dedicated support to advisers in the Birmingham office and also work collaboratively with the Team South Coordinators. My role involves the onboarding of new clients alongside servicing existing clients with a high level of client service.
What motivated you to pursue financial services?
From leaving school and colleague I always wanted to work and earn money. My Dad ran his own business when I was growing up so it was in my blood. My natural love was Sport Studies but life threw me a curveball when my Brother in Law encouraged me apply for a roll at a large Insurance Company at the age of 19. My roll within that company was to calculate and reconcile commission payments for external Financial Advisers. I always enjoyed Maths and working with numbers at school so this roll worked out perfectly for me. From this company I moved to a small Financial Adviser Firm to progress my Career and to complete my Financial Services exams which led me to where I am now.
What’s the most fulfilling part of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is helping our clients and knowing that our clients can always count on us. Naturally I always want to go above and beyond what is expected of me to do the best that I can for our clients and to receive appreciation back from them is the best feeling. I have known many of our clients for many years and have built some really special bonds with them.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
Going to the gym and being active has always been important to me. It comes from my childhood years of playing football, cricket, rounders, basketball (you name it) with my five siblings, we never sat still. This balances out nicely with my love for food. I love going to different restaurants and trying different foods, there isn’t much I wouldn’t eat. I also love going to the cinema to watch the latest films and also like watching the old classics at home. Being an 80’s baby I am big on 80’s films, the old ones are the best ones as they say.
