Biography
I am a Senior Practice Development Lawyer and qualified Solicitor. I am part of the Knowledge Team, but support the Residential Property Team which handles all legal aspect of residential property, including sales, purchases, remortgages, acting for mortgage lenders and lease extensions. We act for a wide range of different clients such as charities, corporate groups, trusts, high-net worth and ultra-high-net worth individuals, individual investors, occupiers and first-time buyers.
As a Senior Practice Development Lawyer, I'm involved in all areas of law relating to Residential Property. I assist the team in keeping up to date with changes in the law, I manage the team’s documents and templates, I arrange training and I undertake specific research as needed.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
I always say I fell into Law, as I kept studying and working in roles I enjoyed.
However, nothing quite beats the feeling of putting a roof over someone’s head, of knowing that I am involved in the process of getting people into homes and properties where they may have a family and create new memories.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
I love a puzzle, so when someone comes to me with something unusual or complicated, I like to roll up my sleeves and find the answers.
What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?
Irwin Mitchell acts for such a wide range of different clients in all manner of transactions. The work is really varied and there are no two days the same. The firm is focused on well-being and ensure I can balance my career objectives alongside my family commitments.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
I am a busy working mum with two small children. I enjoy reading, baking, crafts and a member of my local Women’s Institute. I also enjoy history, puzzles and board games. I am the team’s designated quiz master.
