What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
Irwin Mitchell has a very friendly and inclusive culture which I love. I am lucky enough to work alongside some very talented colleagues, who are experts in what they do and continue to encourage me to push the boundaries and achieve the best results.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I have seen the profound impact compensation can have on the lives of my clients. I find it incredibly rewarding to be working in a field where my work can really make a difference.
What inspired you to get into law?
From a young age, I aspired to work in a profession where I could make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. At 16, I had the opportunity to gain work experience at a small law firm, where I witnessed firsthand the profound difference a lawyer can make. While no one ever wants to need a lawyer, there are times in life when legal assistance becomes essential. Having a compassionate and dedicated lawyer can turn a daunting experience into a more manageable one. I am driven by the desire to be that lawyer and to truly make a difference in people’s lives.
What do you do away from the office?
When I’m not working, I enjoy keeping fit. In lockdown I took up cycling and ended up cycling from London to Brighton to raise money for an asbestos-related disease support group charity. I also am musical and enjoy playing the guitar and spending time with my friends and family. I have two lovely nephews who like to keep me busy!
