Biography
I specialise in complex and catastrophic injury claims. I represent both adults and children who have sustained life-changing injuries. This can include clients who have sustained Traumatic Brain Injury, multiple fractures, amputations or spinal cord injury. My medical knowledge and experience offer a unique insight into sports injury claims. I also frequently represent family members who have lost loved ones in road traffic collisions.
At a time, which can present the most unexpected and difficult of challenges, I do my very best to offer guidance and support through early rehabilitation and recovery, whilst helping my clients to navigate their claim and ultimately secure financial security for their future. I represent both adults and children who have sustained life-changing injuries. This includes those who may have sustained brain injury, multiple fractures, or spinal cord injury.
I also represent family members who have lost loved ones as a result of fatal accidents. At a time which can present the most unexpected and difficult challenges in life, I do my very best to offer support through recovery and rehabilitation and ultimately to ensure financial security for the future.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Suffering injury or loss as a result of an unexpected event turns your world upside down. Working with my clients and being able to help them through those difficult times is incredibly rewarding. It can be challenging but knowing that I can help provide the best possible rehabilitation and the essential support required makes every minute worthwhile.
What inspired you to get into law?
I originally trained as a Chartered Physiotherapist and enjoyed over 20 years in the profession. I have always had a drive to help people who have experienced injury.
I was inspired to get into law by a former colleague here at Irwin Mitchell, who was also a Physiotherapist. I could see that the combination of rehabilitation knowledge and experience together with technical legal expertise offers an excellent opportunity to provide the very best service for clients who have sustained injury.
It is a real privilege to be in this unique position and continuing to be an advocate for high quality rehabilitation remains a high priority for me.
What do you do away from the office?
I am also the President of the South Yorkshire Medico-legal Society and really enjoy the opportunity to bring these two great communities together, offering a forum in which to discuss topical issues and developments.
Away from my desk, I love to get out and enjoy the Peak District, whether that be by foot or on my bike. I’m a rugby and Formula 1 fan and attend these events whenever I can.
I also enjoy looking for new challenges and adventures; in March 2023 I completed a Sahara Desert Trek, raising much needed funds for Headway, the Brain Injury Charity.
