Biography
I am a Solicitor in the Medical Negligence team in our London office. I qualified as a Legal Executive in 2014 and as a Solicitor in 2019. I specialise in representing people who have been injured as a result of medical negligence by hospitals, healthcare providers or by their GP.
I manage my own varied case load covering a full range of medical issues including delay in diagnosis, misdiagnosis, negligent treatment, surgical and fatal claims, including stillbirths and neonatal deaths.
I also assist other members of the team in various high value and complex cases involving brain injuries, spinal and birth injuries.
I work hard to achieve the best results for clients, explaining and steering them through the legal process and endeavouring to obtain answers and compensation. I also help clients access rehabilitation to improve their quality of life.
What inspired you to get into law?
I was inspired by a career in law as it provided an ability to help people and make a difference. Medical negligence is complex and varied which makes it an interesting area of law and provides me with the opportunity to help people rebuild their lives. I also enjoy the medical aspect which is fascinating.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Achieving a good outcome for our clients. Our clients are amazing and I am constantly inspired by their strength, determination and positivity particularly given the awful affect medical negligence can have on them. Being able to obtain compensation and ensure they receive rehabilitation so that they can rebuild their lives is very rewarding.
We also strive to ensure lessons are learnt within the healthcare system and that patient safety is improved in the hope that other patients will not suffer the same injuries.
