Biography
I manage the Trust team based in Chichester, providing Trustees, Executors and beneficiaries with accounting, taxation and administrative support. The team provides full administration, accounting and taxation compliance for a large number of trusts and can assist with specific trust accounting or trust taxation transactions when required.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
As a non-lawyer with a particular interest in figures, I was drawn to the accounting and taxation aspects of trusts. On joining the trust administration team I was keen to grow and develop the services provided to trustees. The team now manages approximately 1,000 trusts of all types and sizes.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
I enjoy being able to provide solutions to trustees and to enable trustees to satisfy themselves that they are fulfilling their trustee responsibilities and duties at all times. Building relationships with our clients and understanding their needs is a particularly rewarding aspect.
As the compliance requirements of trusts continues to change, it is important that we are able to evolve and develop how we support our clients and add value.
What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?
As a full service law firm the referrals can come from any department, which in turn means the clients that I assist often have very different needs.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
I’m a keen Southampton FC supporter and I am regularly at St Mary’s stadium cheering on the Saints with my two young sons. I also have a passion for vintage Lambretta/Vespa scooters and VW Campervans.
