Biography
I’m a solicitor in the wills, trusts & estates team in our Leeds office. I specialise in private client disputes and litigation, including:
- Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants) Act 1975
- Disputes surrounding the ownership of assets under the Trust of Land, Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 and constructive trust cases
- Executor and trustee disputes
- Financial abuse matters.
- Proprietary estoppel cases
- Will validity challenges
I act for private individuals all over the country in both advancing and defending these claims.
What inspired you to get into law?
I chose to study law at A-Level on a whim, as I thought it might be an engaging topic to study. I soon realised I loved the topic, which naturally led to me pursuing a career in law!
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I love being able to see a case from start to finish, and seeing just how happy clients are when I’ve helped them resolve matters. These claims are often very emotional, and being there for a client throughout that time is very rewarding.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
I have worked at Irwin Mitchell since 2018, when I joined the firm as a Paralegal. I love being part of a large national team and attracting high quality work. I also relish the fact that the work that I do is so varied. I often find that no two days are ever the same!
What do you do away from the office?
Outside of work, I’m a big theatre fan and I love live music. Whenever I’m not inside a concert venue, I also enjoy running, travel, and trying to keep on top of my attempt to learn Spanish.
