Biography
I am a Chartered Accountant, helping corporate and individual clients to meet their statutory filing and tax obligations. My corporate clients include investment companies, consultancy companies, and UK subsidiaries of overseas parent companies. My individual clients are generally UK based and include a number of sports personalities.
I also help clients to make a disclosure to HMRC where their tax affairs need to be brought up to date.
What inspired you to get into law?
It wasn't a conscious choice as I joined for the tax and accountancy work but I really enjoy learning about the legal system.
My team is like an accountancy practice within a law firm which means our clients benefit from having the legal advice so easily accessible.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I enjoy helping clients to keep their tax affairs in order and the relief it brings them when they know they can trust us to assist.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
I enjoy working at Irwin Mitchell as we have interesting clients and a variety of work which means no two days are the same. It’s also very reassuring to have expert tax lawyers on hand to help with any technical points.
What do you do away from the office?
I enjoy attending live music, theatre, stand up comedy and sport (mainly football and cricket). I also like cooking and making cocktails.
