Biography
I specialise in the administration and taxation of trusts and estates. I draft Lasting Powers of Attorney, Wills, Trusts and I also act in the administration of a variety of estates.
I am known for my breadth of knowledge and experience in this complicated field and delivering expert advice in a straightforward and personalised manner.
Since qualification as a solicitor in 2014, I have worked solely in the complex area of private client work. I am an active member of the STEP Manchester committee and completed the highly regarded STEP Diploma in the administration and taxation of trusts and estates with Merit.
I was a key member of the award winning Private Client Team of the Year at the prestigious Manchester Legal Awards 2018.
What inspired you to get into law?
As a teenager I worked in a care home at the weekends and through school holidays and summer breaks from university. Working with the elderly gave me real insight into later life living, something I wanted to continue to be part of my career.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
It is very rewarding to have the knowledge to advise and guide people through difficult times in their life and to offer certainty and comfort for their future.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
The team are welcoming and the knowledge and resources are vast.
What do you do away from the office?
Away from the office I spend time with my family and visiting relatives abroad. I am a great food lover and love nothing more than to unwind whilst trying new recipes when preparing meals for friends and family.
