Biography
I am an Associate Solicitor based in the Cambridge Office of Irwin Mitchell, specialising in medical negligence. I represent those who have suffered serious injury (both physical and psychological), or lost loved ones as a result of avoidable errors in their medical treatment.
I joined Irwin Mitchell as a Solicitor in January 2017. I have five years previous experience in Healthcare Regulation (working for the Nursing and Midwifery Council and General Dental Council) and have experience in defending medical negligence claims. My previous experience has given me a good insight into the standards required of medical professionals and a strategic approach to pursuing claims and challenging the counter-arguments advanced.
I deal with all aspects of medical negligence claims, including:
- Delayed diagnosis and prevention failures in relation to strokes
- Avoidable deaths including stillbirth and neonatal deaths
- Brain injuries including birth injuries
- Maternal injuries during childbirth
- Surgical errors
- Failure to treat infections
- Failure to provide adequate mental health treatment resulting in serious injury or fatalities
I run a broad range of cases as well as assisting senior solicitors within the team with their complex and high value cases.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
With this type of work I am, inevitably, meeting people experiencing a very difficult period in their lives. My role allows me to assist my clients through this and take some of the burden from their shoulders. This in turn allows my clients to focus on rebuilding their lives and work towards a more positive future.

I am new to Cambridge, having grown up in Norwich and spent the last 6 years living and working in London. So, at present, I can be found exploring Cambridge in my spare time.
