Irwin Mitchell Sponsors Event As Government Prepares To Trigger Article 50
Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, will be discussing Brexit at a sold out event, sponsored by law firm Irwin Mitchell and organised by the French Chamber on Wednesday 22nd March, as the Government prepares to trigger Article 50 by the end of the month.
The French Chamber’s Annual Gala Dinner, at the Landmark Hotel in London, is an important event for the French community in the city and potentially for Mr Khan himself.
The Mayor is currently running his #LondonIsOpen campaign to highlight that London is united and open for business, and to the world, following the EU referendum.
The aim of the campaign is to reassure the one million plus foreign nationals who live in London that they will always be welcome, and that any form of discrimination will not be tolerated.
George Merrylees, a Senior Associate at Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth who deals with UK tax and asset structuring for international clients, will be joining the French Ambassador to the UK, the President of the French Chamber, and Mr Khan alongside other sponsors on the top table.
Expert Opinion
We’ll be discussing ways that French businesses and individuals operating in the UK can maximise opportunities presented through Brexit and maintain their positive working relationships within Britain.
We hope that those attending the event will be reassured and educated on how we can maintain these longstanding international relationships, despite Brexit, and show that as a firm we are committed to promoting French-British connections and maximising business opportunities.
