...to the Autumn 2013 newsletter from Irwin Mitchell’s Yorkshire offices.
It has certainly been a busy couple of months since our last edition. In September we launched a new IM service offering which is tailored specifically to the needs of small and medium sized enterprises.
You will see that it has also been a busy time for our corporate division. Our Sheffield transactions team, for example, recently advised on three deals in the space of a week – something that clearly points to greater business confidence in the local market.
In addition to the latest developments at IM, this newsletter as always provides important updates on key issues and legal developments.
From an employment perspective, there is a review of the recent changes to tribunals as well as an update on some of the keys issues facing companies that are approaching auto-enrolment staging dates.
There is also a useful explanation in relation to changes made at the start of this month to the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR). As the article states, this signals positive news for employers as it simplifies the mandatory reporting of workplace injuries for businesses.
