Appointment Highlights Irwin Mitchell’s Ongoing Investment in High Quality Legal Talent
Irwin Mitchell has recruited partner Ian Austin to lead its Commercial Dispute Resolution team in Manchester as the law firm continues to invest in growing its business legal team.
Ian, a leading expert in resolving contractual disputes and shareholder claims, brings over 20 years of experience advising large PLCs and FTSE 100 companies. He joins Irwin Mitchell from Fieldfisher.

Irwin Mitchell recently passed £300m annual revenue for the first time and increased profit before tax year on year. Revenue from international activity grew by 18% and the firm added 14 new Partners last financial year.
The national commercial dispute resolution team at the firm, under the leadership of partner Katie Byrne, is experiencing rapid growth. Recently, they have welcomed two new partners: Garon Anthony, who is based in Birmingham and specialises in Financial Services disputes, and David Vaughan, who is based in London and focuses on international litigation and arbitration.
In terms of Business Services recruits, Irwin Mitchell also recently welcomed international Corporate partner Ute Mueller and Commercial partner Pete Maguire. It boosted its Planning and Environment team with new partner, Keith Davidson, and strengthened its Real Estate offering with Construction partner, Alex Delin, and Robert Tunningley. Furthermore, it announced the addition of seven regulatory lawyers from Ince & Co, led by partners Philip Somarakis and Colette Kelly.
