Firm Announces Latest Boost To International Team
Law firm Irwin Mitchell has announced the appointment of David Vaughan as its new French Desk lead.
David joined Irwin Mitchell in May last year and specialises in commercial litigation and arbitration, with a focus on complex and high-value disputes with a multi-jurisdictional element.
He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and advises on a wide variety of claims for banks, corporates, financial services providers, high-net-worth individuals, and sovereign states.
David, who grew up in Belgium and speaks French fluently, will in his new role support Irwin Mitchell’s domestic clients on their operations in France and French-speaking jurisdictions, whilst also helping to win English legal work for clients based in those countries.

Irwin Mitchell is a member of numerous strategic international networks. It joined First Law International (FLI) in October 2018 as part of its international growth strategy and since being appointed it has become a key member of the network - highlighted by its appointment to FLI’s Advisory Board.
It is also a member of the Commonwealth Enterprise & Investment Council - a network of around 100 business and government members from around the Commonwealth.
In September, Irwin Mitchell expanded its international team by appointing Ute Mueller as a Corporate partner specialising in Anglo-German mergers and acquisitions.
