The ceremony took place at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London on 5 October 2023 with 400 global technology leaders in attendance.

The Global CISO 100 Award is a testament to Graham's exceptional leadership and significant contributions to the field of cybersecurity.

Graham Thomson's recognition stems from building a company-wide security strategy that effectively mitigates risk and maximises business performance. He was also credited for overseeing and successfully managing disruptive changes during transformation and remote working, promoting a culture of security internally, ensuring that cybersecurity remains a top priority.

The judging panel consisted of Deborah Wheeler, CISO of Delta Airlines: George Eapen, CIO & CISO of Petrofac; Christopher Neal, Global CISO of Ramsay Health Care; Anna-Lisa Miller, CIO of Spectris; and Mark Walmsley, Global CISO of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
