Claire Petricca-Riding One Of Only Few To Be Recognised Twice By ENDS
Claire Petricca-Riding has been named as one of the top 100 UK environmental professionals for the second year in a row in the ENDS Power List.
Claire has considerable experience in all aspects of planning and environmental matters in a range of sectors: most notably, in the development (commercial, PRS and PBSA), retail, maritime and waste management sectors.
To feature on the list, an individual must have met at least one of four broad criteria. They may have shaped or influenced national or local environmental policy. Their actions may have enhanced the reputation of the environmental profession. Their work may have resulted in demonstrable and positive environmental improvements.
Explaining why Claire was one of few lawyers to receive the accolade two years in a row, the judges highlighted her work across a wide range of planning and environmental issues in development (commercial, private rented sector and purpose-built student accommodation), retail, maritime and waste management sectors.
They were impressed with her recent work which included advising a large port group around environmental liability and damage relating to its operations and representing a large wood recycler on an investigation and prosecution by the Environment Agency.
ENDS also praised her work in Irwin Mitchell’s planning and environment team since joining the firm in 2019, and for being ranked as a leading Individual, Band 3 in Chambers and Partners, 2022.
