Recognition For Personal Injury And Private Client Teams Capped With Solicitor of the Year Award
Irwin Mitchell is celebrating a hattrick of successes after taking two Team of the Year Awards and the Lawyer of the Year Award at the 2023 Northern Law Awards on 22 June.
Held at the Newcastle Hilton, the last nine years have seen the awards become a showcase for the top legal firms in the region, recognising their success and with it, the depth and breadth of legal expertise on offer in northern England.
This year, Irwin Mitchell scooped Team of the Year Awards in the ‘Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence’ and ‘Private Client’ categories; while senior associate Helen Smith from the public law and human rights team walked away with the coveted Lawyer of the Year Award.
The personal injury winners were described by the judges as ‘a tight team with a breadth of application and evidence-based approach’; while the private client team were praised as a ‘dedicated team who work above and beyond for their clients’. Helen Smith was described by judges as demonstrating ‘a huge degree of specialist legal skills and knowledge’
The Irwin Mitchell teams are no strangers to success at the awards, having won Team of the Year several times in the past, including at the inaugural awards in 2015.
