Irwin Mitchell Lawyer Joins Manchester STEP Committee
Irwin Mitchell’s Head of Tax, Trusts and Estates in Manchester, Christine Thornley, has joined Manchester committee for the leading professional body for trusts and estates in the UK.
The Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP) is the global professional association for practitioners who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning. STEP works to improve public understanding of the issues families face in this area and promotes education and high professional standards among its members.
Christine joined Irwin Mitchell in September 2021, bringing decades of experience to the firm’s tax, trusts and estates team, which has since expanded in the North West.
As a long standing STEP member, and the holder of the STEP Advanced Certificate in Trust Disputes, Christine has established herself as one of the most recognised private client solicitors in the region, and her new role on the STEP committee further solidifies that.
Expert Opinion
“I’m honoured to be selected for the Manchester STEP committee. Irwin Mitchell has a long history with STEP, with many of our national Tax, Trusts and Estates team being involved with the organisation either through membership, leadership or training, so to be on the Manchester committee is really exciting.
“As a long standing member of the organisation, I am passionate about the work of STEP and look forward to seeing what we can do as a committee in the coming years to uphold the excellent standards of practitioners in this field.”
