Irwin Mitchell Boost Private Client Services In Sheffield
Irwin Mitchell has continued to strengthen its Tax, Trusts and Estates team in Sheffield with two new hires in the estate planning team as the firm looks to strengthen its departments post-pandemic.
Christopher Harris joins the team as a solicitor and Millie Nicholson joins as a paralegal, which brings the Sheffield estate planning team under the supervision of partner Emma McCann to 20 strong
Christopher joins the firm from Andrew Jackson Solicitors in Hull and had over five years of experience in TTE with the firm prior to qualifying in February 2021. Christopher’s experience includes estate planning, inheritance tax mitigation; lasting powers of attorney & deputyship preparation and advice and estate administration.
Previously at Howells in Sheffield, Millie will qualify as a legal executive in in September and already has over three and a half years’ experience in wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, estate administration, estate planning and deputyship administration.
The arrival of Christopher and Millie follows a busy few months for the Sheffield office that has seen several new starters. At the end of last year, the private client services team welcomed solicitors Racheal Harrison, Kate Maybury and Thomas Scott, together with paralegal Emily Dainty, who all handle tax, trusts and estate work and the contentious aspect of the same area.
January also saw Joel Armstrong join as a tax assistant, having previously worked in a variety of tax and accounting roles, including over two years at Grant Thornton. Joel’s role includes the preparation of personal and trust tax returns as well as trust accounts and he is continuing his professional development, having already passed part one of his ACA qualification.
In March, the team is also set to welcome Marta Orgasinska-Bukowska as a tax advisor. Marta has a wide tax and accountancy experience, including a number of years at Hawsons Chartered Accountants in Sheffield. Marta will be advising clients on a range of personal tax issues as well as overseeing both personal and trust tax compliance matters.
