Fast-Growing Leisure And Entertainment Company Makes Its Biggest Investment To Date

Property lawyers at Irwin Mitchell have advised Gravity Active Entertainment (“Gravity”), the UK’s fast-growing leisure and entertainment company on its collaboration with Grosvenor, co-owner and asset manager of Liverpool ONE, to create a 100,000 sq. ft active experience at Liverpool ONE, the UK’s leading leisure and entertainment destination.

Gravity’s new Liverpool ONE venue will span two floors of the former Debenhams and represents an investment of £10 million, Gravity’s biggest investment to date. It is set to open in Q4 2022.  Liverpool ONE is an evolution of Gravity Southside, Wandsworth and will be the first venue to feature an outside rooftop space that will be integrated into the overall experience.

The venue will also house a unique e-karting experience, bowling, urban golf and modern F&B offering with a bar concept and live entertainment.  Gravity is building on the increased interest in innovative leisure experiences, with Liverpool ONE being the company’s flagship in its portfolio of 18 venues across the UK, with further openings on the horizon.

Gravity’s rapid success and impressive growth (with 2022 revenue targets of £20 million), complements Liverpool ONE’s success as a leading destination.  Sales at the destination in 2021 were 11.5% up compared to 2019.  Almost 40 brands – totalling over 280,000 sq. ft – signed, opened or renewed space in the last 12 months, with Gravity adding to that total.
