Funds Will Provide A Boost To Adversity United
A Disability Football Club in Harrogate has received a boost to its funds after serious injury lawyer David King of Irwin Mitchell took part in this year’s Leeds Half Marathon in aid of the club.
Adversity United, which is based in the North Yorkshire town, is created and run by 17-year-old Cameron Osburn, who lives with the daily challenges of cerebral palsy, and this is the second consecutive year that David has competed in the Leeds Half Marathon to raise funds for the club.
The half marathon took place on 12 May.
Expert Opinion
“Adversity United provides an excellent service to the local community, and I am very proud to be able to raise vital funds for such a worthy cause.
I first completed the half marathon in aid of the club last May, and in November I nominated Cameron for a Children Of Courage Award under the Achievement In Sport category. He deservedly won the award and I am delighted to have been part of this journey with him.”
