Over-elm..ing protection for Woodlands (pardon the pun)
The Telegraph has published a very interesting article on the much anticipated Housing White Paper (due tomorrow) and Government plans to increase protections for ancient woodlands. The Government is clearly aiming to encourage housebuilding, but will be laying out some protection for the Green Belt. An opportunity that avoids developing green fields is seen with under occupied existing properties. It appears that the elderly are to be given some sort of incentive to encourage them to downsize into smaller and potentially sheltered accommodation. No doubt we will know more tomorrow.
