The 21 Authorities most at risk of local plan intervention
Planning Magazine has listed the 21 local authorities most at risk of intervention in the local plan process, if the Housing and Planning Bill passes in its current form.
A large number of them are in the South East or metropolitan green belt, where the housing crisis is the most acute.

An analysis carried out by consultancy Nathaniel Lichfield & Partners (NLP) and seen by Planning, has identified a group of 21 town halls it considers to be most at risk of intervention.
According to the analysis, the majority of the authorities are in the metropolitan green belt around London. They include Brentwood, Chelmsford, Epping Forest, Rochford and Uttlesford in Essex, as well as Epsom and Ewell, Guildford, Mole Valley, Tandridge and Waverley in Surrey. Other authorities at risk of intervention are East Hertfordshire and Three Rivers in Hertfordshire, Hart and New Forest in Hampshire, Sevenoaks and Tonbridge and Malling in Kent, South Buckinghamshire and Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, as well as Derbyshire Dales, Oxford, and Windsor and Maidenhead.”
