Biography
I am an Associate in our national Family Team, based in our London and Reading offices. I advise clients on a range of family law matters, specialising in high-net-worth financial remedy proceedings and cases with an international aspect. I have a particular interest in matters with a UAE / Sharia law dimension, having spent time working in Dubai for a specialist international family law firm. Additionally, I have experience preparing pre- and post-nuptial agreements to protect pre-acquired assets or future wealth, as well as cohabitation agreements for those clients wishing to remain unmarried. Alongside my financial caseload, I also advise in relation to private children matters. I am passionate about helping clients to find a way forward in what is usually a very difficult time in their lives. I have an empathic but strategic approach, providing clear and concise advice to help my clients to achieve the best possible outcome. I am experienced in going to Court, but also in reaching negotiated settlements. My aim is to always bring matters to a resolution as swiftly and amicably as possible.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I have always been driven to work in a role that has an impact on people's lives. There are few roles which have as big an impact as that of a family lawyer, and I get huge satisfaction from helping a client through a very difficult time in their life, and essentially holding their hand and bringing them out the other side.
What inspired you to get into law?
Since a very young age I thoroughly enjoyed the debates that could be had both with peers at school, and also at home with my older sister. As soon as I realised that I could use these skills in a career, my decision to become a solicitor was made.
What do you do away from the office?
Outside of the office I am kept very busy by my two young children and two energetic dogs! I can usually be found watching Bluey or clearing up Playdoh.
