I am a paralegal within the Criminal Injuries Team at Irwin Mitchell. I work as part of a fantastic team helping our clients claim compensation for life-changing injuries sustained as a result of being a blameless victim of a crime of violence.

What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?

To have the opportunity to work with such a prestigious firm like Irwin Mitchell is fantastic. To be a part of the CICA Team is even better. I feel incredibly lucky to work alongside lawyers with a plethora of knowledge in their field. We also work together and support each other as a team to get the right results for our clients.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?

The most rewarding aspect of my role is the positive client feedback, whether this comes from a successful outcome or just from some initial advice. To know that you have done a good job, you have listened to a client when they may have not been listened to before, you have recognised what has happened to the client and how it has had an impact them and their life is very fulfilling.

What inspired you to get into law?

I have had an interest law from a young age. I always wanted to go into the police and eventually become a police detective. However, during the course of completing my Criminology and Sociology degree, I completed a number of legal modules that piqued my interest in the legal profession.

What do you do away from the office?

I enjoy spending time with my partner, friends and family. I enjoy eating out and trying new restaurants. I enjoy travelling and visiting new places. I have a huge bucket list of places that I want to visit. I absolutely love live music and enjoy watching bands in all settings, from my local pub to music festivals.
