Biography
I joined Irwin Mitchell after qualifying as a Solicitor in July 2023 having completed my training contract at a regional firm in Warrington. I work in the Court of Protection team, and I am based in our Manchester office.
I act on behalf of my clients to manage their property and financial affairs where they have deemed to lack the requisite capacity to do so themselves. A key part of my role involves developing a relationship with my clients in order to discuss their needs and ensure their best interests are at the heart of every decision we make. We work with a variety of professionals to ensure that our clients are given the best quality of life possible, whether it be case managers to help with the day to day aspects of life or architects to assist with property adaptations. Our aim is to ensure that client's funds last their lifetime whilst ensuring any future goals are met.
I have experience with Statutory Will applications and acting for lay Deputies in their application to the Court of Protection to become appointed as a lay Deputy. I also work alongside Trustees in the management of a variety of Trusts such as Personal Injury Trusts.

It is vital that clients have someone that they trust and who works with their best interest in mind. Working in Court of Protection I have seen lives transformed through property adaptations and the provision of medical equipment. Knowing that a client's quality of life has been enhanced due to my support makes this role so rewarding.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?

I am surrounded by unconditional support from friendly faces and access to the latest news and precedents to ensure that I am always able to perform my role to the highest standard.
What do you do away from the office?
Away from the office I enjoy travelling, spa days, cinema trips and hiking. I am currently part of a reading challenge to read 52 books in a year. I spend a lot of time with my friends and family and looking after my Rabbit Norman
