Biography
I am a partner in our national Family Team based in the London office but advising clients across the UK and internationally.
I specialise in family law and deal with divorce and financial matters with a particular focus on high-net-worth financial remedy cases involving more complex issues such as family businesses, tax, jurisdiction disputes and the division of non-matrimonial assets. I am regularly instructed to prepare pre- and post-nuptial agreements to protect pre-acquired assets or future wealth. In addition, I advise in relation to private children matters and disputes between cohabiting couples.
I am passionate about delivering the best possible outcome for my clients and work tirelessly within any proceedings but, where possible, I aim to reach a negotiated settlement using effective strategies and negotiation skills to come to an agreement.
What inspired you to get into law?
I have wanted to be a lawyer since I was at school. I always enjoyed a debate and wanted a career that would enable me to make a positive difference. My continuing passion for family law began at university when I studied family law and advanced family law as part of my law degree.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Consulting a family lawyer, for most people, comes at a very difficult time and I have always enjoyed helping clients to find a solution that enables them to move forward positively with the rest of their lives.
What do you do away from the office?
As a mum of three lively children, I spend much of my spare time at their various sporting events. If time allows, we all enjoy a long walk followed by a Sunday lunch.
